There are a number of ways to communicate with the ES40 Emulator developers.
Our preferred mechanism of communication that is of interest to the entire ES40 Emulator Community or all developers are our mailing lists. We currently have two mailing lists.
The announcements list is the mechanism we use to send information about new releases and other announcements to the entire ES40 Emulator community. If you use the emulator, this list is for you.
List volume: Subscribers to this list probably receive one or two messages a month.
Subscribe: To subscribe to this list, send an e-mail message to email@example.com with "subscribe" in the subject.
Archives: The list archives are at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=es40-announcements
Posting: If you have anything that you think would be of interest for this list, please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The developers list is the mechanism for discussions between developers. If you have made, are making, or intend to make changes to the source code, or if you would simply like to follow the discussions and be informed of non-version releases (CVS snapshot builds), this list is for you.
List volume: The amount of messages received varies. Some days there won't be any messages, while on other days you might receive a dozen.
Subscribe: To subscribe to this list, send an e-mail message to email@example.com with "subscribe" in the subject.
Archives: The list archives are at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=es40-developers
Posting: As a subscriber, you can send mail directly to this list at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Patches: Patches can be submitted to this list. The preferred format for patches is a GNU diff file.
Sourceforge tracker system
On SourceForge we have bug, patch, feature request and support request tracker systems.
Reporting: If you report a bug, feature request or support request, please indicate:
- What version of the emulator you're using (version 0.xx or CVS snapshot xxx, or CVS version of (date+time))
- What version of which operating system you're trying to run on the emulator
- What version of which operating system on which platform you're trying to run the emulator on
- Your name and e-mail address (or log in to sourceforge) so we can contact you
Patches: The preferred mechanism for submitting patches is the developers list.
On SourceForge we have a couple of forums where the ES40 Emulator can be discussed. These forums are not monitored, so if you need a quick reply, consider one of the other options.
If you need to contact us, and the mailing lists or other contact options are not appropriate, you can send an e-mail message to Camiel Vanderhoeven (lead developer and project administrator) at email@example.com
